The route goes through, farmland, some historic towns, Up a mountain pass with lots of switch-backs and a stunning lookout, lots of underadvertised historic features to see, like the Steppes Stones, the southern Hemispheres first golf course, some very old Pubs, part of a historic formula track(when they were road circuits) Longford(look for the pub with the racecar halfway through the wall) Hop fields etc etc. A very scenic way of travelling from Launceston to Hobart.
