Leave the highways behind on this fantastic route between two major cities The 200 mile route leaves Portland along the Lewis Clarke Evergreen highway on the Washington side of the Columbia River. It then heads north on the amazing WA25 Forest Road, an American Classic with some of the best corners in Washington State. The surface is not in great condition in some places but wow, what a great road. From Randle head towards Packwood and again North on State Highway 410, past Mount Rainier towards Tacoma. There are also great possibilities to deviate from the route on this part, go west more towards Rainier via Paradise, or east towards Yakima via Cayuse Pass (Image : Pausing for a photo on Forest Road WA25)
