Riding this road was quite possibly the most fun I've had on a bike. Good road surface, never saw a cop, lovely mountain towns scattered along a road absolutely packed with curves, straights, climbs and dives; and around each curve another stunning vista of mountains and meadows. The road coming down the mountain just before Gauley Bridge was like a miles-long roller coaster. I wanted to go back up immediately just to come back down. The road settles down when you get next to the Kanawha River but is still a great ride for the scenery. The road goes through Charleston, but I recommend getting on I64 and bypassing the town
