It's not changed since the previous writer did it - a superb road that you really must do!
Absolutely loved this route, even in the wet and damp. Some great turns to lay down into, and a fair number of overtaking opportunities. Loads of super smooth tarmac, especially between Fraize and the top. Last time I was there I did it 3 times back to back (so 6 one way runs in total). A MUST if you are in the area, helped me develop my riding loads.
This is a good fast route, one bend in particular goes on forever. There are alot of lorries on this route and beware the top as there is alot of traffic going straight across on the Route des Cretes.
First section: Fast and flat with many long open corners, mostly easy passing places as road widens to two lanes on some corners, really very good for a fast bike.
It can be difficult to pass if you get stuck behind someone on this stretch, so avoid during busy periods. Otherwise excellent, just like a race track i.e. smooth, flowing and level with a good surface.
