Although the visibility was not brilliant on the day we did this (see photos) the road and bends were spectacular although continual hairpins can be tiring at times. Great road..... Great views
This road sucks you in as it rises into the mountains and twists and turns without let up. It will seperate a group as bend after bend calls for cocentration and judgement, a real workout. There is a view point at the summit with spectacular views (on a sunny day) one way to the Ocean and Santander and the other way into the rolling green hills with the sound of Cowbells. The drop down into the valley is less twisty but different in character. Well worth a diversion off the coastal motorway! But slower.
Hairpins from the summit (674m)
Road in (not very clear -misty)
