I ride this route ofter as my Son, his wife and my grandson live in Abersytwyth. The road has recently been extensively resurfaced so for the main is very smooth. Watch out though for some of the poorer sections which are still to be resurfaced. Be especially careful after Bwlch Nant Yr Arian (Pass of the Silver Stream)as you head down the mountain towards Goginan especially after heavy rain as small stones, mud and other debris can get washed onto the road. The only section that I have even a speed camera is just outside Llangirig by the 'Welsh Lamb Center'
omegaVery scenic, quite nice route that runs almost parallel to the A44 but on the other side of the valley. Can be quite a lot of tourist traffic in the summer months, so be aware when you plan a trip.
