Ridden this route (or parts of it) several times and never becomes boring. Once past horncastle the route livens up, fast sweepers and tight twisty sections, watch out for police as you enter Baumber - the straight before the village is fast but just watch the junction halfway along and people looking to jump long traffic queues on weekends. If you fancy a different destination then head left at Partney and take the Mablethorpe road, another cracking route and not as busy.
Great road! First stretch from Lincoln to Wragby is boring but gets progressively better. Best section of all is east of Horncastle, heading to A16 roundabout at Partney. When road is quiet this is great - good visibility, some nice bends and plenty of overtaking opportunities. New Burgh-le-Marsh bypass is a huge improvement and billiard table smooth! Only downside is holiday traffic - ok early in the day but horrendous at weekends, bank holidays etc
Superb long ride along some rural roads with amazing scenery across the wolds. Good long straights with some very nice bends. Watch out for police, especailly during summer, and the 50mph section at Partney. Skegness is great for chips!!
