I did this route on the 10/03/2014 part of the route was closed for the turn off to grinton due to subsidence so I used part of another route I really enjoyed it I own a Varadero xl 125 and for 2/3rds of the route I was red lining in 3rd and 4th gear
Spectacular views round the Yorkshire Dales. Starting in the lovely town of Richmond, then passing through Reeth until you reach Tan Hill (for lunch) the highest pub in Britain @ 528m. From there you run past Keld and the Butter Tubs on Cliff Gate Road (worth a stop) then into Hawes. From Hawes you run through Aysgarth, Leyburn and back into Richmond.
