This route starts at Loughs Agency on Victoria Road (the A5) in Londonderry. Visit the free aquarium and visitors centre to learn more about the sea life of the coastline you are about to ride! The run follows Lough Foyle, a beautiful enclosed bay leading off the Atlantic Ocean. These waters are farmed for mussels and oysters plus providing a natural shelter for a deep sea fishing fleet - there is a sea food restaurant in Greencastle at the mouth of the lough. A good road takes the biker to Redcastle. Then "not so good" roads... but okay! Ride across the mountain to the quaint village of Culdaff with its surf beaches and the pier at Bunagee. The road winds over a ridge to another harbour at Glengad and thence to Malin Pier (not to be confused with Malin town). Try the most northerly pint in Ireland at Farren's Bar or eat at the Seaview Tavern (locally known as Vera Doc's). A great run - spectacular scenery, a road that works the body, an unexplored place... ! The rocky islets off Malin are the Garvan Isles. Beyond is Inishtrahull, the most northerly piece of he Irish archipelago.
